Round 3 takes us somewhere different.
Somewhere technical.
Somewhere that looks completely different once the sun goes down.
Tonight, the GTEL Gr.4 Masters heads to Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa + Miyabi for the first Special Event of the season — our first race under full night conditions.
By day, Kyoto is a rhythm circuit. Yamagiwa demands precision through its sweeping mid-speed corners, while Miyabi tightens everything up with sharper braking zones and quick direction changes. Combined, they create a layout that punishes impatience and rewards drivers who can link sectors together cleanly.
But tonight, the track changes character.
Braking points disappear into darkness. Kerbs become harder to judge. Depth perception shifts. The fast sections feel faster, the narrow sections feel narrower, and consistency becomes more valuable than ever. Over 60 minutes, focus will be everything.
As our first Special Event, this round also introduces something new.
A hidden challenge: the “Night Owl”. Only one driver can win this hidden challenge (except for Basti for obvious reasons). Winning this hidden challenge rewards 15 championship points.
Please note: Medium tires are mandatory. You can decide when to use them, but you need to complete at least one lap on medium compound tires. Read more about this series’ rules.
See you later on track!
Check our calendar for the practice and race times in your timezone. If you’re new to racing with us, make sure to read the Drivers code of conduct. Rules and regulations do apply and penalties will be issued if necessary.
