Round 2 – Interlagos
After an exciting season opener at Watkins Glen, the GTEL Gr.3 Championship heads south to one of motorsport’s most iconic venues: Interlagos.
At first glance, the circuit looks simple. Two long straights suggest a focus on outright speed, but the real challenge lies in the technical middle sector. Fast direction changes, elevation shifts and a series of medium-speed corners reward a well-balanced car and a driver willing to attack the curbs without overstepping the limit.
Strategy will also come into play tonight. Racing Mediums are mandatory, but drivers are free to decide how and when to use the other compounds. Finding the right balance between pace, tire life and track position could make all the difference over the course of the race.
With the championship still taking shape, every point matters. Round 2 is where early momentum can become a title challenge—or where title hopes can start slipping away.
