After (somehow) surviving Trial Mountain, the V8 Supercars circus has reached Germany. Today we take on the Nürburgring GP, the beautifully smooth, deceptively polite, and secretly sadistic sibling of the Nordschleife.
While the asphalt may be modern and the curbs well-behaved, the Nürburgring GP layout is a master of trickery: tight hairpins and fast sweepers that punish the overconfident, and a final chicane that was specifically engineered to ruin friendships and lap times alike.
Expect some heroic late-braking moves into Turn 1 — because it’s basically a requirement here — followed by the classic Nürburgring pastime: watching drivers try to keep their V8s pointing in the right direction through the Michael-Schumacher-S. And of course, no V8 Supercars event would be complete without a few “I swear the car didn’t do that in practice” moments.
With everyone now warmed up from previous rounds, we’re set for another hour of door-to-door chaos, strategic tire gambling, and the kind of racing that makes you rethink your life choices halfway through a stint.
